As a contemporary Māori artist, my creative practice is intrinsically guided by Te Ao Māori (the Māori worldview). I am driven by genetic memory and a profound desire to honor my whakapapa (lineage) and energize my wairua (spiritual essence). For me, art is not merely aesthetic, it is a living narrative, a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms.
